The MEIJI 0.75x Auxiliary Lens is designed to increase the working distance of your EMZ-series stereo microscope to approximately 120–130 mm, giving you more space for tools and hands beneath the optics. It also widens the field of view, which some professionals may find useful for certain types of work.
However, it’s important to note that auxiliary lenses always come with compromises. By adding this lens, you may experience:
Reduced brightness and sharpness
Lower depth of field
Slight loss of true 3D perception
For this reason, while we make the 0.75x auxiliary lens available, we generally recommend working without additional lenses when performing high-precision diamond setting, micro-pavé, portrait engraving, or invisible cuts.
In our own workshops, we rely on the MEIJI EMZ-10 in its purest form — uncompromised optical clarity, sharper focus, and perfect depth of field at its natural 110 mm working distance. Still, for those who prefer extra room, this auxiliary lens is a practical option.
