The Ora Black Rhodium Bath Eclipse is used for decorative surface coating. It forms a brilliant, pure white, extremely wear-resistant deposit. It produces a dark anthracite-coloured deposit. The coating should be deposited on a suitable adhesion layer achieved by pre-plating with an acidic electrolyte such as the Ora pre-gilding bath (our ref. n° 3587.11800).

The Black Rhodium Bath is for use in a conventional electro-plating units. In a new bath the free acid content is 20g/l. In a new bath the free acid content is 20 g/l. This increases with duration of use and repeated regeneration. The disposition rate is diminished because of this but can be balanced out by prolonging exposure time.

After prolonged use filter cleaning of the bath is recommended (do not use active charcoal). Regeneration is based on analysis of the bath to determine rhodium and acid content. For regeneration use Black Rhodium Regeneration Concentrate, containing 20 g Rh/l.
