- Faster Heating Time: The tip now heats up in just 1-2 seconds, depending on the surrounding environment. For repeated testing on the same stone, especially mounted diamonds, we still recommend waiting 5 seconds until the screen changes to "Depress tip to start test." This prevents inaccurate results as the stone needs sufficient time to cool down to its original thermal conductivity.
- Safer Probe Tip: The temperature of the tip has been reduced to minimize the risk of burns. The tip is still hot, but not as hot as it was originally.
