The surgical steel used here, black with a DLC coating (Diamond Like Carbon, diamond-like carbon layers), is characterized by high wear and abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, and temperature stability. Additionally, it has excellent biocompatibility (hypoallergenic). The ear stud backs/ claps are also coated with DLC. - The posts of our piercing studs have a diameter of about 1.0 mm, and the studs can be easily replaced with other earrings after the healing period.
